I imagine this is available to everyone now. . .even though they’re keeping the ‘BETA’ icon there. Which if you think about it is probably a great idea. They have always said it’s only a small percentage that visits and actually participates in the upcoming section. Maybe with this red image there it can attract some attention.

I noticed that John C. Dvorak has quit plugging his blog as much as he used to. Before I would ear it at least 2 times on Cranky Geeks. . .sometimes even getting like 5 plugs in. Which I guess since it’s his own show I can’t blame him right?

Initially, I would say that Pownce is so jealous of Twitter. . .that they’re even starting to mimic them. Maybe it’s the route that I take to the Pownce servers. . .but at my trace route does complete.

I asked(on Twitter), if anyone else had the loading issues that I was having with Pownce. I got a few responses from friends saying they had been having the same issues I have. Has anyone else been having this issue?

So after my last laptop(HP) began getting outdated. . .I decided to get one of the Dell laptops with Ubuntu on them. I got the Dell Inspiron 1420 and installed the KDE interface since I prefer it over Gnome.

Maybe a month went by and I decided to update to the beta of the next release(heron I believe). It broke the video drivers, so I reverted back to the previous version. Then the final version came out and I tried to upgrade again. . .and again it broke and wouldn’t boot correctly.

I sort of understand why everyone hasn’t jumped ship to Pownce. . .but why not Jaiku? Even Jaiku copies Twitter’s 140 character limit and it’s even more stable.
