This is funny. Some guy from Rocketboom is now selling his Twitter account on Ebay right now. Last night when I read about this, it was up to 300 dollars. As of right now, it is at 1,025 USD.

The account has 1,200 followers btw

So how much is your Twitter account worth? Jeremy Schoemaker says he’s only been using Twitter for a month and he has more followers than that. Even my Twitter account has 2,211 followers right now.

I would like to see the winner of this auction interviewed. . .or even just the bidders. What kind of value can you get out of a Twitter account. Yes, you could spam it, but for how long. . .The audience on Twitter is a LOT smarter than you would think. They barely click on ads and they’re not going to get tricked into your ‘referral scheme’.

And this Rocketboom guy, unless he disguises his new account(unless he’s quitting twitter all together), who will re-friend him? Most of his followers will feel betrayed. . .I’m sure they are already ‘un-following’ the account as I type this post.
