The things that are posted on Pownce tend to be cool things that people have either found or made. Other posts tend to encourage conversation about a topic to share information. Twitter on the other hand always seems to be stupid crap that I just flat out don't care about. Granted I love to hear about what is going on in your life, even if I really have no clue who you are. People's lives are interesting. However, I don't care to get announcements every time you leave for work, or goto the bathroom. People are always trying to compare Twitter and Pownce as though they are two versions of the same thing and one should choose one over the other. But as you've discovered, that's not the case at all. They're very different animals. I too use both. I'm more active on Pownce because I like having conversations, but I get value from Twitter too. Also I think you need both to connect with a wider audience. There is no one solution that works for everyone so if you want to reach more people you need to go where they are. Great points.
