This past Saturday I my Mother passed away. . .which is why I haven’t posted at all this week.

She had been sick for the past 7-8 years. Starting with a heart attack, then stage 3 skin cancer, then kidney failure and diabetes toward the end.

I found her when I woke up, which was around 1pm. My Dad left for work that morning around 6am, and she was fine. She had ‘restless leg syndrome’ which caused her to fall asleep ‘indian style’ on the bed. She would start to lean forward. . .either waking herself up, or falling asleep in that position. Every now and then I would see her that way, go in to wake her up, and ask her to lay down.

This time she didn’t wake up. . .they think she died of a ‘massive heart attack’.

It makes me look back to when I was fired from UseNetServer(3 years ago), forcing me to move back in with my parents. I didn’t get to see her much when I was on my own. Not saying that I ’spent enough’ time with her after I moved back in(with work and all). . .but at least it was more than if I weren’t here.

My brother, his fiance and myself went through probably 70% of her stuff after the wake. It felt like we looked at her timeline/lifeline. . .in reverse. At first we were going through stacks and stack of medical documents. Not only did she save every report she got from the doctors(she had like 5 different ones). . .she also looked up each and every medicine she was taking(she had like 20-25 different ones). We ended up stopping 2-3 hours later after going through the childhood photos we found.

I’ve just been feeling nauseous. . .like there’s a knot in my stomach. Thankfully I’ve been able to force myself to eat more and more lately.

Hopefully I’ll be able to get into back to normal within the next 2-3 day. BTW I am backed up on emails. . .but I should be able to work on those tomorrow.

Thanks again to everyone on Pownce and Twitter that was there for me. Everyone was very supportive.
