I sort of understand why everyone hasn’t jumped ship to Pownce. . .but why not Jaiku? Even Jaiku copies Twitter’s 140 character limit and it’s even more stable.

The question here isn’t why isn’t it Pownce. . .or why isn’t it Jaiku. . .but why is it Twitter. Why has a website gained so many members that is has become so unstable. . .and the users continue to use the service. Not only continue, but it’s heavy members keep promoting it more and more.

It doesn’t take much to duplicate that web service. . .many have tried. . .many have failed. Why have they failed though, with such a simple website it doesn’t make sense why a company like Yahoo, Microsoft, AOL hasn’t decided to put a clone out on the web.

Web Worker Daily has a great article pointing out things to watch for when making another Twitter.
