Dear Digg the Blog
Please change the color scheme of your website! Please make it a dark text color on a light background! Or something, sheesh. . .maybe you don’t have to read your blog posts but a lot of us find them interesting. Don’t punish our eyes, we’re just interested in the development of the website.
Could you imagine how many people would quit submitting and reading Digg.com if they changed to that color scheme. I wonder if Daniel Burka did this design. . .boy, I hope not.

Actually, I like the light text on dark background. It’s easier on the eyes, so when I’m just staring at long articles, there is not a bright annoying screen staring back.

Bad templates are just one of the reasons I use Google Reader to read the 100+ blogs I follow every day. Granted I only read about 20% of the posts, but clicking on each individual blog would be tiresome, and quite frankly I’d forget about some of my lesser read blogs.
On the same topic, Bloggers that use horrible/broken templates, then only publish the excerpt in their rss feed don’t get read by me.

@Alex, My eyes can’t take it. After 2 paragraphs I have to look away and ‘reset’ my eyes.
@GB, I never thought about subscribing to the RSS feed. . .but then again I don’t read from my RSS Reader(Google Reader). I always click through and then read it on the website itself.
