I’m Full Time Now!
It’s funny that I never considered myself ‘full time’ before today. Even though I probably put 60+ hours into the internets, it’s only now that I officially say I’m ‘full time’.
It was almost a year ago(November 6th 2007) when I published the first post at InstallerApps.com. Now, because of that website and my other websites(mostly iPhone websites) I am making as much money now, as I did when I worked at UseNetServer(the office job I had a few years back). In fact, I made more this month than I ever did back then.
My initial goal was to make as much as I was making at the pizza buffet. Then when I hit that mark(about 2-3 months ago), I decided to hold out for a little while longer. I wanted to make sure that I was making enough to live on even if it went down a little bit.
To be honest, this is a dream come true. I mean I have been trying to create websites since high school(1998). I must have created 20 websites over the past 10 years(10 over the past year). Thankfully a few have ’stuck’ and now things are really starting to take off.
So now that I’m full time you should start to see more posts here. I try to post as much as possible, even though I went a full month without posting. I spent a lot of time on AppStoreApps.com during the month of September and October(including an redesign). I just automated the direct ads there, so that will save me 2-5 hours a week too. I have a few more projects brewing, and you should see those starting to come out very soon.
Currently the bulk of my websites revolve around the iPhone(even the new ones that I am planning). I just don’t see that as a business that I can keep doing 20-40 years from now. I mean I would love it if the iPhone lasted that long. . .I just don’t see it happening. So, I would like to start focusing more on this blog and start building the subscriber base again.

Congrats! It must feel great to not have a boss and be able to work in your pj’s.

@bluefuel, Thanks! It is. I’ve been slowly cutting back the pizza job. Day by day. I was only working 1 day a week at the pizza place toward the end. So it was nice to get an extra 200 dollars a month, but how things have been lately, it’s just not worth it.

@MrPowers, I’ve been surprised by how many people at my old job said the same thing.
